新加坡青少年嗜赌比例比成人高出2至4倍

有调查显示，青少年比成人更容易出现嗜赌问题，比例高出2至4倍，而且越来越多人视Dubo为平常的行为。 由于嗜赌问题在全球日趋严重，我国将加强公共教育和嗜赌处理服务，预防人们从小染上嗜赌恶习。虽然没有研究指本地有越来越多青少年嗜赌，但由卫生部和社会发展、青年及体育部联合成立的国际咨询委员会主席陈振中教授认为，预防必须从小就开始。# ~- `% L* O K7 u B

他指出，如果等到问题出现后才来亡羊补牢就太迟了。# S; G6 c9 t. g2 t5 \) w

陈振中教授也是全国预防嗜赌理事会服务推展及研究组主席。国际咨询委员会的另一名主席是卫生部医药服务总监办公室高级顾问吴志禄教授。其他成员是来自香港、美国、加拿大、英国、澳洲及纽西兰的8名专家。

8 Z/ M2 C. Q4 [9 w; V z 委员会于去年12月在本地举行会议，检讨新加坡在预防及控制瘾癖问题的工作，并提供相关咨询。陈教授和吴教授今早召开记者会公布会议报告。

报告指出，全球出现越来越多Dubo场所和途径如通过网络和手机Dubo，也有更多人视Dubo为很平常的行为，甚至认为上娱乐城是一中成年的象征。

委员会建议卫生部、社青体部和全国预防嗜赌理事会采取以下行动对抗嗜赌问题：
