那是在2004年雅典奥运会上，当时的兰赫和自己的队友卡洛斯-埃斯皮诺萨合作，在男子托纳多级多体船的比赛当中，为阿根廷赢下了一块铜牌。在2008年的北京奥运会上，他俩再次合作，又一次拿到了该项赛事的第三名。

2015年，在训练中一直倍感疲劳的兰赫突然被查出肺部癌细胞病变，幸亏发现及时，他在西班牙巴塞罗那市的一家医院接受了左肺切除手术。

在六个月的治疗过程当中，兰赫一直保持着一个乐观的心态。术后仅用5天，他就开始骑自行车训练，不到一个月的时间，他便奇迹般的重返了训练场。9 P7 |' h. w# d8 x6 e; |* K( G
